I reckon Dean has an ally in Castiel too, and that's a good thing. The Winchester boys do need all the allies they can get. Nothing wrong with Dean having a friend. I'm all for it. But in season finale, it was more like a couple's breakup than a disagreement between two guys/two friends. That's the bit I could do without, that the writers are influenced by how fans feel and write the characters as such. I loved the season but it would have been a lot better if they wrote the Sam & Dean and Sam & Ruby scenes as brilliantly as they did the Dean & Castiel scenes. Just my two cents.
